Corundum brick is a high-performance refractory material which is widely used in high-temperature equipment such as metallurgy, chemical and building materials.
It is the refractory material products with alumina purity more than 90% and corundum as the main crystal phase. The room temperature compressive strength is up to 340MPa. The starting temperature for high load softening (higher than 1700 ℃).
It is divided into two types: sintered corundum brick and fused corundum brick. Sintered alumina and fused alumina can be used as raw materials separately, or alumina clinker with a high Al2O3/SiO2 ratio can be combined with sintered alumina and produced by sintering method.
With good chemical stability, strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metals, and glass liquids. The thermal shock stability has related to its organizational structure. Dense products have good corrosion resistance with poor thermal shock stability.
