Fused cast AZS blocks

Fused cast AZS Block is also known as fused zirconia corundum block,named as electrocast AZS refractory blocks and the abbreviated is AZS, according to the three chemical components of the Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2 and Al2O3 takes A, ZrO2 takes Z, SiO2 takes S.

Fused Cast AZS block takes an important role in the Glass Furnace, which are mainly made of zircon and industrial alumina with little zirconium rich sand (in order to increase the purity of ZrO2), soda ash, and borax. According to the different atmospheres during melting, there are two methods: reduction melting and oxidation melting. Currently, the main method is oxidation. The oxidation melting method can remove the pollution caused by graphite electrodes in the molten liquid, with a low carbon content (0.005% 0.02%), reduce the bubble content in the glass, and improve the quality of the glass liquid.

According to the different of ZrO2 purity,there are three different material grades and they are AZS-33 #, AZS-36 # and AZS-41#.
